Champagne Laurent Perrier Brut

Champagne Laurent-Perrier, the founding year 1812, is currently, with an annual production of 8 million bottles of champagne a major maison. Today, the Laurent-Perrier group includes also Salon, Delamotte, de Castellane and Chateau Malakoff.
The Cuvée brut that has a predominance of Chardonnay at 50%, a fact quite rare in non vintage brut, there are also even at 35% Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier 15%. The assembly includes more than 50 crus and the presence of reserve wines is an average of 20%. The wine cellar is 3 years for the 75 cl bottle and 5 years for the magnum. The dosage is not stated, it should be within the 8/9g liter in my opinion.
Once poured into the glass, the Laurent-Perrier Brut shows a lovely pale golden yellow, the bubbles are medium-sized. At the nose first aromas of citrus, lemon zest.
The palate is crisp and dry with a correspondence from the nose: notes of citrus and spices that enhance the particular plot. Acidity and minerality pleasantly present. It ‘a classic champagne that focuses on freshness and finesse without trying very complex aromas. Very pleasant aperitif, goes well with shellfish and fish or white meat.Personally I would find suitable to accompany a tempura vegetables and seafood.
